Material and care
The Goldstream ash tray is made from corten steel and is supplied in an unrusted finish. Once placed outdoors, a natural rust layer will develop over time. Depending on the weather and surrounding conditions, each steel fire bowl will form its own distinctive brown orange patina.
Corten steel is durable and made from a unique metal alloy. This composition creates a dense oxidation layer that protects the material. Its strength is comparable to stainless steel, ensuring long lasting enjoyment of this robust fire bowl.
The Goldstream ash tray requires minimal maintenance. The natural rusting process forms a protective layer on the steel. Place the tray in a location where it can dry quickly after rainfall. Remove wet leaves to help prevent accelerated corrosion.
Please note that corten steel may leave rust marks on the surface beneath it.
