Material and care
Alpaca wool is considered one of the finest types of wool. The fibre structure is extremely fine and soft, similar to cashmere. The composition of the plaid consists of 70 percent alpaca wool, 18 percent wool and 12 percent acrylic. The Santa Cruz retains very little odour, so airing it outdoors is usually sufficient. In general, wool products should be washed as infrequently as possible. If washing is necessary, it is best to place the plaid inside a pillowcase or large laundry bag.
- Shake out loose dirt

- If washing is required, use a wool or hand wash programme at 30 degrees

Santa Cruz Alpaca Wool Plaid
The Santa Cruz plaid is made from high quality alpaca wool and feels exceptionally soft. It is hypoallergenic, breathable and finished with elegant fringes. Its thermal properties provide cooling comfort in summer and warmth in winter. The alpaca, also known as the mountain llama, originates from South America. Alpaca wool is up to three times stronger than sheep’s wool, significantly warmer and remarkably soft to the touch. Comparable to cashmere in quality, it causes far less irritation to the skin than traditional wool. The Santa Cruz plaid is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
